Craftsmanship

  Mairin Asla Daukanka Slilma Lakiaia is an artisans group that works in Wampusirpi since 2002. It's formed by 41 women and 2 men, mainly miskitos. Pawanka organized this group in order to keep the ancient craftsmanship methods and looks for markets for their handicrafts, which are made of the tuno-tree's bark.
